TOEFL Review Exercise skill one to seventeen
In this exercise listen carefully the short conversation and question in the recording and then choose the best answer to the question.

1.      Skill 1(focus on the second line)
      Use skill 3: Avoid similar sound
          Woman     :  Could you put some more wood in the fire place?
           Man          :  I have to bring some  from outside.
           Narrator    :  What does the man imply?
           a.       There’s no more wood inside
           b.      The wood in the fireplace should be put outside
           c.       There’s a fire outside
           d.      He needs to bring some wood outside.

       Man         : Alice, I thought you are working late tonight.
